The 80's. In a Latin American country, its dictator has devised a sinister plan to justify the army's permanent hold on power. Its secret services kidnap a student who is a keen boxing fan, a homosexual cook, a disillusioned teacher, a workman and lover of the bolero, and a barber who prefers the tango.
The prisoners are moved to "Nowhere", an old train station in the desert, and left under the watch of a group of soldiers. With the help of a strange adventurer, El Gringo, who prefers the wit of irony to the cowardice of cynicism; a man of the desert who is an active member of the resistance; and a young woman who turns the clandestine fight into an unceasing tribute to her murdered partner, the prisoners plan their escape. An escape that will turn out to be unforgettable both for the oppressors and for those who understand the true spirit of freedom.
