Between 16th and 18th March 1938, Barcelona was attacked non-stop, day and night. In those three days, thousands of people lost their homes and some thirteen hundred people lost their lives.
These events were not only tragic for Barcelona, but would also set an influential precedent for the fighting of the fateful Second World War, the bombings of Dresden, Cologne, London, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and others.
