A story of love and passion, of the past and the future. It all begins in the 1930's, when the anarchist-leaning Romeu family, establish a modest publishing house on some worthless land they own in the dock lands of Barcelona. A falangist son-in-law, Carles Revert, ends up destroying their dreams in a bid to make his own ambitions a reality. 
Come the year 2000, the Revert family construct their own state-of-the art building on the seafront, right on the site where the Romeus had fought so hard to keep their small publishing business going.
