Set in the 1950’s in an indefinite society, Naught Man, is a social criticism story based on Kafka’s characters: Josef K. (The Trial - Der Process) and Gregor Samsa (The Metamorphosis - Die Verwandlung). Activa Films’ first feature film, Naught Man, shows a totalitarian society where the government extorts population through television, medicication, and police repression. People have a grey existence, fun does no longer exist and nobody remembers how music or sex were like. The film relates the parallel lives of Josef K. and Gregor Samsa, both determined to fight against the oppressive State.
