Toni Darder works as an educator at a juvenile care centre. Approaching retirement, he is haunted by a sense of failure. He has lost all faith in what he does and in his own destiny but even so, propelled by inertia and giving the best of himself, he continues in the thick of things, working with the kids. However, the admission into the centre of Tariq, a northern African street kid, brings the prospect of change into his life.
