Having gained success and artistic acknowledgement for his performances on the stage, Joan Barnat has now definitively abandoned the theatre to work exclusively for television. But a turn of events causes him to lose control of his mind and he becomes obsessed with leaving his work on television to seek out a past love from the 70’s in the island of Formentera. His wife, who is also the director of the show along with the collaborators and sponsor, all decide they cannot allow Joan to leave them without programme or jobs so to keep him happy and persuade him to stay on, the organise a party on Formentera at which they assure him he’ll find Layla, his lost love.
