Synopsis:

From Arturito's happy origins in Mallorca, through fame and exploitation during his childhood, oblivion as an adult, and finally decline due to mental illness, several of Arturito Pomar's children take us by the hand through their father's life to relive what they missed. They visit some of the emblematic places of his career and talk to his rivals, thus revealing to us the career and personality of both Arturo, the chess player, and his father.

They contrast his time as a child prodigy and exploitation as an icon by the Franco dictatorship with that of other players, former child prodigies, or who were also used by political power.

They remember his adult years, when Arturo no longer receives support from the regime, becomes a civil servant at the Post Office, and finds himself without help at the height of his career, with players who shared those years of success and decline with him. The children will reveal the personal drama they experienced as a result of their father's degenerative mental illness.
