The old archaeologist Santiago Sanahuja has spent half his life researching a treasure that could contain Giacomo Casanova's gambling winnings from the days that the Venetian traveller spent in Valencia and Barcelona in 1768. The archaeologist dies just before he can settle his differences with his son Jaime. Yet the old archaeologist's mysterious companion, Dominique, along with an opera written by both a disciple of Mozart and Casanova himself, lead the main character to search for the treasure. As Jaime gets closer to the treasure he and his family find themselves in increasingly greater danger.
