The story of a Nobel Prize for Literature, Daniel Mantovani, who after spending 40 years away from his hometown, traveling around the world, and five living in Barcelona, receives an invitation to visit his hometown, Salas, to receive the "illustrious citizen" title. The writer is at a critical point in his career. Consecrated, recognized and desired by all, has been a while without writing and with nothing to explain. When he receives the invitation to visit Salas, he thinks about it and decides to visit it. He leaves Barcelona to live a story that will make him reconnect with himself and his origins. It is explained as a comedy, but with touches of realism and melancholy.
