This film narrates the life of Otto Engelhardt, first director of Sevillana de Elecricidad and German consul in Sevilla. Through his actions, we understand the electrical development in southern Spain, the espionage during the first world war and, specially, the dialectical confrontation between democracy and Nazism during the interwar period. Otto Engelhardt was one of the great defenders of freedom and democracy, confronting Hitler himself to defend his ideals, to the point of costing his life.
