Tiana can be found in the Sierra de Marina and on the eastern coast of Catalonia, in the southernmost part of the Maresme region, 15 km from Barcelona and 20 km from Mataró. Tiana covers an area of 7.90 km2, most of which is woodland, vineyards and bushland. The town of Tiana is surrounded by the gentle undulations of some low mountains. This mountain chain adopts the similarity of the edges of a mythological shell that protects Tiana from the northern winds.
