Municipality located northeast of Berguedà, at 127 km / 1.45 h. of Barcelona. It is crossed by the river Llobregat and has several bridges to cross it. Near the village are the Artigas Gardens and the Xalet del Catllaràs, designed by Antoni Gaudi.

At the entrance to the village there is the Cement train station, a small railway recovered for tourist use that connects La Pobla de Lillet and the Cement factory of Castellar de n’Hug (now is a Cement Museum).
