Invent habitable cartographies

The 32nd edition of the Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones (MIFDB) returns to the screening rooms and squares starting in May with a program that has cartographies as the protagonist. Through the eyes of the filmmakers selected in this edition, they will inhabit spaces and territories, unique and interconnected microcosms. Their filmic views will seek to illuminate and reconstruct blind spots: pixelated and inaccessible spaces such as borders and prisons, pages torn from history books, and unspeakable desires that escape any narrative. Can cinema make a space, a body, a memory more habitable? Can images draw new cartographies?

This edition focuses on two times of the year:

  • Vol. I – Between May 21 and July 7, 2024
  • Vol. II – Between September and December 2024
