The Ministry of Culture and Sports has announced various measures to support the cultural sector. Some of them aimed to audiovisual production. The Government has created an Extraordinary Social Fund for an amount of 13,252,000 euros, to support the cinematographic exhibition in movie theaters. Also, the rest of the support lines include the flexibility of terms and obligations for the beneficiaries of the aid and the approval of the increase in the percentage of tax relief for filming.

Tax incentives are increased for film and audiovisual production of fiction, animation or documentary series, as well as for foreign filming. 30% of the first million euros may be deducted from the deduction base and 25% from the remaining amount. The aim is to attract more international productions and filming, promote co-productions, and increase the activity of the audiovisual industry in Spain.
