The crafts of cinema with Dones Visuals

09/30/2019

New this Pantalla Barcelona autumn edition

From the original idea to the dissemination of the work, Pantalla Barcelona proposes to the spectators of all ages and tastes, the discovery of the process of creating the films, through the witnesses of professionals and the practice of their craft. Interpretation, production, photography, script, costumes, editing ... who are these people the names of which appear in the beginning and ending credit titles of a movie? Dones Visual will explain it to us.

Before almost all the projections of this year's Pantalla Barcelona, a small introduction will be made. Subsequently, a guest expert will make an explanation about her craft in the cinema and she will relate it to the film that has been screened. The audience can participate in an open debate about both the film and her craft.

Dones Visuals was established in 2017 as the Promoting Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media of Catalonia, to defend, promote and make effective the presence of women in the audiovisual sector. The association brings together women professionals from the sector who work with the objective of reversing the situation of historical inequality, and with the certainty that the audiovisual will not achieve the highest quality until the perspectives and practices of women are incorporated.
