Josep is an old man who lives in a nursing home, where he looks after Laura, a woman from his past who is now suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Laura’s death spurs Josep to embark on a journey that will bring him to the mountains where the Spanish Civil War took place. It is here where he wants to die.
Meanwhile, a group of volunteers have begun to search for Josep. A young man from the search party will be forced to join Josep along this final path.
