A documentary about the children (roughly three thousand) who were taken during the Spanish Civil War to the then Soviet Union to free them from the conflict. The statements of survivors, now elders, bring to mind that trip that was supposed to be only temporary and for many of them represented a stay almost for life, because of the historical events that were becoming, as Franco victory or the start of World War II.
