Torre Pallaresa is a 16th-century Renaissance stately tower located in the middle of a valley above Santa Coloma de Gramanet, a city in the province of Barcelona. It is one of the most important Renaissance works in the country and was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument of National Interest in 1931.
It exudes elegance and history and is like teleporting back in time.
Large green and wooded areas, 2 water ponds, consecrated chapel and main tower with arches and panoramic views of the city of Barcelona. All the rooms are decorated according to the period, with furniture and objects from the period.
Its origins date back to the Middle Ages. Who gave it the importance was Joan Cardona, chancellor of King Carlos I and Bishop of Barcelona, who asked the king to grant the title of castle. It was also visited by Christopher Columbus, Queen Elizabeth and Charles V, Emperor of Germany. Currently, it is a private monument and there are not many occasions to visit it.
