The smallest and wildest, but also as pretty or the prettiest of the coastal villages. Located in the north of the municipality amidst rocks and vegetation, Tamariu is formed by a main beach of coarse sand with the Liris cove to the south, where there is a centenary clochan, and the Aigua dolça Cove to the north, formed by rocks. If we follow the coastline by sea (in a canoe, boat or swimming) or by road (the coastal path doesn’t pass this section) we come to the pretty cove of Aigua Xelida. And if we take the coastal path southwards from the Liris cove, we will come to Cala Pedrosa, where there is also an ancient clochan. Every first Saturday in September ‘Habaneras’ are sung on Tamariu’s main beach.
