The museum, opened on 12 July 2002, is housed in a 16th-century Renaissance-style building.
The cultural complex includes the section of the old town wall, the tower of the Corraló de Cal Cintet, the three-storey Renaissance palace, and the interior garden.
The building is listed as a Cultural Asset of National Interest. It is L-shaped, with two exterior façades facing the town’s main streets—Carrer Major and Carrer del Portal—and a view from the garden that highlights the volume of the tower.
The museum was the summer home and workshop of Apel·les Fenosa, who acquired it in 1957. The collections feature a selection of original terracotta and bronze sculptures, along with explanations of the casting process. The garden also displays large-scale sculptures, including some of the artist’s most significant works.
