The series of paintings "Catalan Evocations" exhibited in Mas de Torrent was commissioned by his friend Francesc Cambó in 1927 and that the painter assumed as thanks to his economic support to finish his great work in the Cathedral of Vic.

They are a set of paintings that collect popular Catalan festivals and customs, "Montserrat", "Els Tres Tombs", "Una Inocentada" "Els Castellers de Valls", "La Sardana", treated in a Goyaesque way in oil on board.
