It opened in October of the 1968-1969 academic year, it was the first high school in Santa Coloma, and for a few years, the only one. The Puig Castellar high school is something of an institution in Santa Coloma. Since the 1968-1969 academic year, it has been an unmissable landmark in the educational and cultural life of the city. Thousands of students have sat in its classrooms, many of them now renowned professionals in the most diverse fields.
