Mas Miró was the model for The Farm, the most emblematic work of Joan Miró’s figurative period. It was also where his later work took root and his symbolic language was defined.
The estate comprises buildings from the 18th to the 20th century, dominated by the farmhouse, originally known as Mas d’en Ferratges, built in the style of an Indianos house. In front lies the garden, featuring prominent eucalyptus trees and a pavilion where Miró often painted.
Nearby stands the workshop, built in the 1940s by the artist himself, specifically designed for working on sculpture.
