The Copper Museum, unique in all of Europe, is housed in an old modernist tower of the Lacambra Counts, from the early 20th century, which is located inside the facilities of the La Farga company.

The Museum has a walkway that allows you to visit live and live the production process of a foundry and its semi-finished copper processes; in addition to seeing what the colony used to be like and a wire drawing plant. The Museum consists of 4 main areas: La Farga Lacambra, a history of a company, copper and the origins of metallurgy, the chemical element copper and the technology and applications of copper.

The Museum is a cultural space that disseminates, through different resources, the knowledge, use and applications that La Farga has made of copper throughout history on an industrial, economic and environmental level.

The conception, design and structure of the museum were made possible thanks to the cooperation between the La Farga Foundation and the University of Vic, which took over the direction of the museological and museographic project.

For its part, La Farga opted for the restoration of the old tower of the early nineties located next to the company's industrial facilities, the former residence of the Counts Lacambra, as the headquarters for the new space museum.

The Copper Museum currently offers curricula and guided tours adapted to the academic levels of primary, secondary and high school groups, training cycles and universities.

It was inaugurated in 2008 to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of La Farga.
