The old Casa Forta el Despujol dates from the 17th-19th centuries and is classified as a Cultural Asset of National Interest (BCIN). This is an eclectic residential building (an architectural trend developed in the 19th century that mixes various stylistic elements), rural, modern and contemporary.

It is a farmhouse that retains the same lineage from 1880. The house was rebuilt and expanded in the s. XVII al s. XIX. It is currently the headquarters of the Town Hall of Les Masies de Voltregà.

The stables of the house have been rehabilitated to be used as a meeting room and meeting places available to the public and organizations.

The Romanesque gardens of La Casa Forta el Despujol make the outdoors a real pleasure for everyone who walks or exercises. The gardens are of landscape and ecological interest and have a wide collection of plant species. In its 5Ha there are numerous unique plant specimens.

The house also houses the school of drawing, painting, ceramics and modeling.
