Can Bufas is an old village house built in the 1700s, which has been fully restored by its owners with great love and dedication. Located in the historic centre of Castell d’ Aro, a medieval village in Baix Emporda close to the beach town of Platja d’Aro, Can Bufas is a quiet haven within very diverse surroundings. The house is characterised by its Provencal decoration, which combines a respect for the past and originality in its choice of furniture and recovered materials.

The wooden beams, exposed stone and whitewashed walls form its structure, giving each space its own character. At Can Bufas, you will find benches, old mattress bases used as headboards, baskets full of lavender, antique light switches, terracotta-tiled floors, rocking chairs, antique stoves and bathtubs…
The house has lots of different cozy nooks and crannies, such as; the living room with its fireplace; the porch, where you can have breakfast and dinner in the summer, and the kitchen; where you can be with friends near the stove. The bedrooms are bright, with each one reflecting its unique character through the attention to detail give by its owners, who have chosen each piece of decoration and furniture for the different areas. The kitchen, the main dining room, a toilet and a single room can be found on the ground floor. In the garden area, there is a double room with a bathroom. On the top floor, there are 4 double rooms leading off from the hallway, all with baths, and with one that has a terrace overlooking the garden.

The cypress and lavender sheltered swimming pool and garden at Can Bufas are an ideal oasis for forgetting the clock on your special holiday, and from where you can visit the typical beaches of the Costa Brava and discover the historical heritage of the area.
