Born street was born from the extension of the ancient walls (originary the 13th and 14th centuries), which was made in the 14th century. The street became the commercial epicenter of the city.

The name of the street of the Born means to walk, to give returns, since it is a road that has conditions to do it because it is oriented to the noon and it is flat in comparison with many other streets of the medieval city.

With the construction of the expansion and the growth of the city towards the north, the traditional commercial axis was displaced towards the Plana and the Born. The change of location was accentuated during the second half of the 20th century, with a number of highly specialized establishments that have persisted over time (some of these establishments are almost 100 years old).

Although today many of the traditional establishments have been replaced by clothing franchises and accessories still retain some heritage values, interior and exterior, existing in many of these low commercial.
