Unique monumental centennial tree. It is an holm oak free on all sides (360 degrees). It is only surrounded by cultivated fields. Has natural light throughout the day. The perimeter of the trunk is 4 meters (at its base it exceeds 7m) and the diameter of the crown is about 27m. The total height of the tree exceeds 15 meters. It is an holm oak whose lower branches were modified so that they would touch the ground, in order to use it to hunt birds through historical hunting systems. There is no power near the place. However, it is quite easy to access since a highway passes near the municipality (Fontcoberta) and by means of a paved road you can get to about 400 meters from the tree (after that you have to follow a rural road). The underside of the tree can be cleaned of the current vegetation, which has grown naturally. Every certain number of years, the tree must be pruned to maintain its campanoid shape (with its sister, the only trees to have it), so it presents its entire branch structure to the naked eye for a few months every many years.
