Guionistes Associats de Catalunya (GAC) is a non-profit association, founded in 1997, with the aim of defending the interests and ensuring the aspirations of the collective of screenwriters of the audiovisual media of Catalonia, both professionals (full members right) as well as those who aspire to be so (affiliated members). GAC is currently composed of over 300 members. At GAC we deal with:
– The representation, defense and promotion of the common interests of the members in the cultural, professional, social and economic fields.
– The representation of the general interests of the screenwriting profession before administrations, institutions, companies and other groups at the regional, state and international levels, participating in advisory bodies when necessary and defending the rights recognized by the Intellectual Property Law.
– The social and cultural dissemination of the screenwriting profession.
– The organization of training and cultural activities for associates.
– Promoting solidarity among members, promoting and creating common services of a welfare nature.
