Can Carreras is an old stately house built around 1846, located at 5 km from Figueres (Alt Empordà) in the village of Cabanes d'Empordà.

The house is surrounded by gardens, millenary plane trees and large magnolias that take us into the history of this charming place. Part of the old town wall is hidden in one of the corners of its garden.

The building is composed by three floors. On the main floor there is a large living room painted with frescos and a large Murano lamp that illuminates the room. Rooms, chapel, dining room and music room complete the first floor. By the garden, several rooms open to the outside where the light strikes late in the afternoon, making a unique game of lights and shadows.
