Jean-François i el sentit de la vida tells the story of Francesc, a lonely boy who one day discovers a book of Albert Camus at the school. He is fascinated by the ideas of the philosopher and from this moment onwards he changes his name into Jean-François and decides to become an existentialist. Now Jean-François has one objective: he wants to go to Paris to find Camus. His friend Luna is coming with him, but under one condition: she goes with him, if they stop on the way to meet up with the French guy, who she had known last summer. 

The shooting of this film is taking place in Barcelona and it is a production of A Contraluz Films and El sentit de la vida AIE. Jean-François i el sentit de la vida is the debut of the award-winning short film Sergi Portabella will be released in 2018 and is starring by Max Megías, Clàudia Vega, Àgata Roca, Pau Durà and Theo Cholbi.
