Tomàs's partner, Caterina Castany, pursued by the killers, has taken refuge at the Barcelona Aquarium, where her ex, Eduardo Montes (Tino Mewes), works. The investigation into the crime will lead Commissioners Bonet and Valent to a sordid plot involving unscrupulous businesspeople and corrupt politicians, leading them to suspect the new mayor of Barcelona and the commissioner's father, Baptiste Bonet.
