Plaça d’André Malraux is located between Arc de Triomf’s transport hub and Estació del Nord: a boulevard, a play area, and flower gardens with trees.

The new square is a kaleidoscope of triangular surfaces in a combination of different pavement materials (cement, grass, and sand), which distributes several areas: flowerbeds, rest areas and two playgrounds for toddlers and older kids from 6 to 12 years old.

A few meters from Arc de Triomf and Estació del Nord, we can find L’Àntiga Central Tèrmica, an impressive modernist building by the architect Pere Falqués i Urpí. The extraordinary entrance - made of stone, brick, and wrought iron- gives a unique character to the whole facade.
