Ripoll

Ripoll itself is a tourist attraction center for its strategic position, one hour from Barcelona, Girona and the Costa Brava and next to the ski slopes.

It has an important architectural heritage, the cover of the XIII century is one of the most outstanding in the world, and is the letter of presentation of the Monastery of Santa María, an emblem in the millennial history of Catalonia. At its side we find the Church of Sant Pere, where paintings of the sixteenth century have been found, and the Ethnographic Museum. There are also preserved medieval remains, such as the remains of the wall and the bridge of the Raval.

The economic boom derived from industrialization left behind a large repertoire of modernist buildings, among which are the works of the architect Joan Rubió, disciple of Gaudí, and during the last years, facilities and spaces have been refurbished in the center of the town, We highlight for its modernity and uniqueness as the Place de la Lira and the Lambert Mata Library.

The municipality has a wide range of unique natural sites, routes, natural landscapes and panoramic views that do not leave indifferent to nature lovers.
