The D'A Film Festival Barcelona has opened the call for entries for feature films for its ninth edition. Next year will be held from April 25th to May 5th. The films submitted to the call must be productions made after January 2018 and Catalan premieres. The aspiring feature films can compete in the sections Talents, Direccions and Transicions. Only the Talents section is competitive and this year, as a novelty, increases the prize, from 6,000 euros to 10,000 euros to be received by the person or company that signs and / or confirms the selection of the film in D'A 2019.

The rest of the prizes do not have an economic endowment: the Critics' Prize in the Talents section (awarded with the collaboration of the ACCEC - Catalan Association of Criticism and Cinematographic Writing) and the Public Prize that is chosen among all the films screened at the festival, with the exception of the Retrospective. The deadline for the registration of films ends on January 10, 2019.

After the closing of the Aribau Club cinemas, D'A 2019 is relocated to the four rooms of the Aribau Multisalas cinema, reserving the mythical Aribau 5 room for the opening. The rest of the cinemas of the D'A Film Festival will continue to be the Theater and Auditorium of the CCCB, the Filmoteca de Catalunya and the Zumzeig Cinema.
