The main square and nerve center of the city of Sant Cugat. This square of medieval origin was built as an extremity of the Monastery; designed and ordered to raise the Main Portal of the Monastery and serve as an esplanade to divide the town from the monastic complex. The square was urbanized in the mid-19th century. XIX, but today it maintains the same structure. Now it is an open square, completely pedestrian and that organizes the historic center in turn; Restaurant businesses with terraces predominate. Most of the popular and traditional festivals, fairs and events in the city are celebrated.
