The Delta de l’Ebre, with its 320 km2, is the largest aquatic habitat in Catalonia and has a rich diversity of environments. River, sea, bays, beaches, dunes, salt marshes, riparian forest, coastal lagoons and river islands shape the natural landscape, and, with rice fields, foster a great diversity of organisms (birds, fishes, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates ...) adapted to different habitats. |
