The copper forge/ Paper mill Escatllar was builded on 1.685 in order to work the copper taking advantage of the strength of the water canals. In the late ninetieth century was increased as a paper mill, both activities coexist  till that the closed in the late twentieth century. The Escatllar family sing over the rights at Banyoles city on 1.983. Now a new project is linking the handmade paper with the labour integration.
