Aigüestortes and Lake of Sant Maurici is the only national park in Catalonia configured through a maze of mountains and valleys. The landscape is of high mountain, with an impressive relief and a wealth of fauna and flora. The scenery is spectacular and consists in series of elements that complements by an almost perfect way to give a harmonious set of sharp and vertiginous peaks, lush forests and green pastures, crystal clear rivers and deep pools. The water, with almost 200 ponds and innumerable streams, is the protagonist. |
