Synopsis:
The story of the famous knight, Tirant, who is commissioned by the Emperor of Byzantium to free the city of Constantinople from the siege of the Turks. Tirant lives up to the expectations of the Empire, as far as military feats are concerned. His men are the living image of the fierce 'almogávares', a class of Spanish soldiers who fought during the Christian Reconquest of Spain and were employed as mercenaries during the 13th and 14th centuries, and Tirant is a shrewd strategist who is not intimidated by the numerical superiority of the Turks.
